Nope.

It was supposed to be, but the Crossroads Able test was plagued by a miscalculation when scientists did not realize that material in the tamper would fission too, increasing the yield to almost double what it was supposed to do.

You never hear anybody point to these atmospheric nuclear test as a contributing factor to "global warming" or to the high cancer rates these days. No, they'd rather you not know - that filthy bastards.

That's because they aren't a contributing factor to global warming. They do not produce greenhouse gases and they have far too little energy to do anything but heat a tiny portion of the atmosphere for a short period of time.

also cancer is in peoples genetic material anyway. All cancer is cells that refuse to go through programmed cell death and continue to mutate and spread. Also cancer causing radiation is only there while its in the atmosphere 1-14 days. the only cancer risk are to those in the fall out.
