well..arnel is a good singer n thts the reason he is on stage with journey..doesnt matter if he has copied steve perry and tht gt him in journey ..but its a talent which got him on there...we wish him all the best

I think, arnel doesn't give too much impact on journey, knowing he's the singer, steve perry still fits in as the original singer of journey. Arnel doesn't fit in, in his style and character.

That's quite an assumption to make and I really don't see how not being able to sing disqualifies you from making criticisms about AP. He's in the public eye and therefore subject to being idolized as well as maligned. I personally think that AP is a good singer, but he's a better mimic, and it was his mimicry of Journey songs that got him into the band. It wasn't as though he was a solo artist and they heard original songs, Journey heard him doing covers with The Zoo.

Not total pathetic. Remember it does have the core of the original band. Granted a lot older and they may have lost a step or two. They are out there to make money on the bandwagon of nostalgia acts that are making comebacks and cashing in on it for a short time.

If AP's talent was and is so great why did he have to be found in here. Why didn't his talent shine long ago on its own. It took him coping SP to be found. CAN"T DO IT ON HIS OWN. Some great talent.

SP was "FIRST". AP can never be the one who laid it down for all time. He has to copy what was there first. It is not his soul, it has to be a copy of SP's soul that he has to keep up and continue doing. He can not be himself.
