Wooo this emphasizes that linux has a very unique OS and that it is more "creative" than windows vista... Also the fact that its free =)

That's called a background, anyone can change it in any OS. I'll agree this isn't the best picture, but it would look the same in Vista. In addition to being able to change backgrounds, in Ubuntu you can change the background for the cube, the theme of the desktop, downloaded from the internet, and even change what the login and grub backgrounds are.

That was the entire point of Vista, to make pretty pictures. However, Canonical made better graphics in an OS that uses less ram.
And I have been using solely Ubuntu for over a year and have yet to find compatibility issues. Almost all programs from Microsoft are available in an open-source format for free, and there is a built-in system to download them.
There are only problems playing newer games, but I have been happy with the older ones I have and the open-source ones I downloaded.

OpenOffice is great for the average consumer, including me (Hell, VI is all I need), but people say it lacks the features of Word when it comes to large scale offices and such.

Don't know if it's that much difference, but OO is catching up and getting better.

ever used open office? and you can do practically all things on Ubuntu as on Windows, except gaming, but you can get programs to do that, try Cross Over

no it is not possible to get it for windows, only linux has it
