Released August 22, 2007 was a method for turning damn near any PSP battery into a homemade unbricking device. Here's the video :)

Oo, interesting, now can you play with a pandora's battery? Or can you only use it to unbrick your psp/install firmware?

You can use it as both a pandora and a normal battery... plus do all sorts of nifty hacking like writing files to the firmware on official firmwares.
