Quit Smoking Advice

These clips are from the BBC: Horizon documentary series entitled "We Love Cigarettes". The advice Allen Carr gives is pretty damn good, it convinced me (a 5 year smoker) to quit cold turkey. It has been a couple months now and I'm still going strong.

Update:

It has been over one year since my last cigarette and I have never been tempted to look back. I really hope this simple advice has helped someone else.

i started smoking at age of 11 it's been almost 8 years know....i smoke around 2 packets a day.i really need help to quit=!in 2 weeks i have a test for the army i need to run 1.5miles in 8 mints but all i do is 0.5 in 3mints and my heart almost stops.i feel allot of oppression when i don't smoke!

if some one knows some methods please help i can't stop thinking about smoking thats my problem.btw tnx this vid helped me a little realize what an idiot i was 8 years ago

So you're 19, me too... i started when i was about 14. Used to smoke one and a half pack per day...till this week...i use a drug called Zyban...first two weeks you use the drug WITH the cigarettes... And then you quit at a date which you had determined before... And you can quit easily because smoke tastes like shit. And it just doesn't come to your mind. Of course you should ask a doctor first, but it really helps...(if you really want to)

yeah I never thought I would get addicted and now I am really struggling trying to quit
it took a full year for me to get hooked, and now after several, there are mutiple reasons why its becoming difficult... quit while your ahead, never smoke steadily unless u wanna get hooked

I´ve smoked for 7 years now. I started when I was 17. I´ve seriously tried to quit three times, and started again, because nothing really changed in my life expect I didn´t smoke anymore. So after two or three months as a nonsmoker I lit up not remembering why I quit in the first place. This video makes me remember again. It´s because I hate that feeling of addiction and the taste of shit in my mouth every F**king morning. I´ll try again.

Quit dude we all wish we could go back to a time before like you are in now do it not just for yourself but us the ones that cant quit at least smoke marijuana to get high or something dont smoke ciggarettes they do nothing for you and people wont think ur cool dude no one ever told me i was cool all 9 yrs of smoking

i went all day with out a cig, but the next day i went to work and i started again, but i really want to stop, its wasting money and wasting my life.

I started years ago for stupid reasons, left it started again many times. Recently I left it for some years but just fell again some days ago. I know this fall will last just some days, then I leave it for years again. Buprion also helps me alot.
