If what she said was correct, the PEOPLE would NEVER have be allowed the ownership of weapons.

I get your point but.But take this interview for eaxample .The founding fathers(gods)create a bible(Constitution) and the ppl change it for the interest of the flesh(profit) dont blame the gods(founding fathers) but blame the ppl for changing the original things into violence and blind submission(Faith or Patriotism) for their interest.
