Thank you for the wonderful video, our Black and Tan went down last Thursday, and I found your video very helpful we are doing the exercises prescribed, you have some additional information, like the massage of muscle grain. Dodgers is wonderful resource for IVDD, you can also check out doxieloverDOTcom/dlc

These exercises should only be used with the vet's blessing AND only for a post-op dog. These exercises can cause too much movement on the spinal cord for a dog doing conservative crate rest treatment with meds. You risk permanently damaging the dogs spinal cord. Please join "the" best web site on caring for an IVDD dog: DodgerslistDOTcom. Lot's to read, please join the message board for communications on your doxie

Our doxie is post-op, at the University of Guelph on Ontario. The exercise sheet we got, includes the bicycle motion, splits, forward, backward movement of the legs. On the 3rd week we may start Hydro Therapy. So far he is able stand and very short walks with the assistance of a Sling as instructed by the surgeon. We caught the situation very early.he can wag he's tail and has good back leg strength. We know its going to take time for a full recovery.

Very VERY informative. My dog has been paralyzed for about 2 years with out surgery, but we have been doing some therepy and he is improving slowly, but doing very well. This is the best example I have found in showing how exactly to do therapy for him. I have done some of what you showed here, but not quite the way you did, but it was a great example that I will implement with my dog. thank you for this video very much!
