DETROIT, MICHIGAN: THE DOCUMENTARY
BackCome take a trip through the tough neighborhoods of Detroit City. The home of D12, Proof, Xzibit, Big Herk, Rock Bottom, Trick-Trick, Esham, D-12, Royce Da 5'9", J-Dilla, Chedda Boyz, Street Lords and more, and learn where the anger and grim dark mentality emerges from.
Detroit is known as the city of overkill, it shows in our fashion, talent, mentality, and unfortunately our violence. These unique values lie apathetic in the heart of a Detroiter, as you'll soon learn in this documentary. Surviving the streets only scratches the surface of this ongoing fight for life. From the Grimey Eastside to the Gritty Westside we reveal some of the only outlets for our urban youth, as they fight a war everyday unlike any other fight.
In The D chronicles the relentless efforts of a literal fight for survival in the true gritty streets of Detroit. The struggles are true, the stories are real and the fight is continuous. "8 Mile" was the fairy tale, "In The D" is the scary tale. Come take a ride with us, in the gritty streets of the "D"!

Why would anyone want to live in a shithole like Detroit? People shooting at one another just because theyre walking home on someone's "street". People robbing thier next door neighbor just because they dont like the fact that thier neighbor worked hard and earned something. Could you imagine if Obama won and the whole country looked like Michigan? I love my country, but who would want to live in a country like that? Its not cool or gangsta to shoot and rob people, its stupid.

The problem with Detroit is that you have no structure and no laws in the street. You hate on niggas that's shinin instead of tryin to soak up whatever knowledge you can that will get you there yourself. Crabs in a bucket. How is a niggas motivation for life going to be hating on the next man? Naw, your motivation should be getting money and taking care of your family and everything else will fall in place.

I grew up in the D. I live in TX now. The world is not ready for this story about Detoit. I even know a couple of the guys in the video. I was happy to see them alive. and well. I wish the writers of this movie prosperity. I will support the movie when it comes out because I lived their for 30 years. I miss the D. It took me 3 years to get use to not being their. I still come back ever year. East side till I Die.
