I was 14 and I remeber that day as if it were yesterday. Like Don McLean I was a newspaper carrier and that's how I learned of the tragic plane crash. Buddy Holly was the first artist whose music I had an interest in. That's never changed and I have a very good collection of his music including some, which allegedly hadn't been released in North America.
The info by DGillyy about the rumour that the name of the plane was "American Pie" was interesting and appreciated.
