how tall are you? I'm 5'8" and I'm getting a 16.3 hh thoroughbred mare soon, I think I'll be able to swing up in time, it'll just take a LOT of practice!!!! good job!!

That was great! I love how you have him trained to stop on a dime like that when he feels you start to come off. Just for the record, I would fall right on my behind if I tried any of that!

This may seem a silly question, but did you teach him to stop when you dismount whilst in motion, or does he just do it himself?

I trained him to stop any time I dismounted and was on the ground. He hasn't ever run off on me yet either...
