Everybody talks about their right to say what they want, and I agree, but these same people fail to realise that with those rights come responsibilities, yes he has the right to make fun of gay people, but he also needs to realise that people will take offence. Sure Brian is probably milking it a bit, but as soon as anyone criticizes Jim, he acts as though everyone is in a big conspiracy against him.

It's so easy to portray him in a bad light because of what he said but if Alan Carr had been on the same show and gone to brian "all shirtlifters have the same look about them" would he have been offended definetly not!!! And it's not fair to say thats because theyre both gay. He took offence to a comment when he could have just taken Jim to one side and said I don't like that terminollogy and he would have more than likely got and apology.
