'course it's not.. Dark eyes (Ochye Chernye)was written in France by a russian, and it afterwards became part of russian folklore. As far as they today think it's a very old russian song.. But this jazzy-gypsie version is really excellent !

Washboard I believe. Look up Adelson Langlois and you will see the same guy accompanying a great Chapman Stick player.
