A softer version, perhaps. But here, she's singing about a bad relationship or a person that hurt her. Mulan had different motivations.

well Mulan was kind of hurt by society... they didn't accept that she just wasn't an obedient girly girl until she saved the entire nation and the emperor with her super badass-ocity! that's psychological damage.
