Colorado State Penitentiary Similar To Gitmo

Back

The end of a Frontline Special on teens serving life in prison. But it is equally interesting for what is going on in our state prisons.

Frontline was not permitted to film inside or outside the Super Max prison in Colorado or interview any inmates. The only pictures we see was video evidence used in a murder trial. We also hear from the teen subject through a 2004 Human Rights Watch interview which reveals that inmates are denied counsel, due process, testimony is confidential and not given to the inmates and prisoners have no release dates.

Again, these are regular teens and American citizens incarcerated for crimes unrelated to terrorism.

Scary

Here how it goes, if you kill or are involved with killing multiple people, your not going to be the light of day outside of prison for the rest of your life. Now if you spend time in prison and your wrongly convicted of a crime that you didn't commit then sue if get cleared. 19 people in Dallas who most of them spent 20 or more years in prison got released because of DNA evidence. All I can say is if you kill, rape, or commit a serious crime in the US, your spend your life in prison.

The adults in the video need to realize, this young man is not so innocent! C.S.P. has limited bed space, so they don't put "good" offenders in there, its a waste of money. The funny thing is, its normally a 2-3 yr program, so im laughing at the fact that he has been in there for 5. He must be a real scum bag. Juvenile or not, he committed the crime...NOW HE CAN DO THE TIME. And the fact that he is in C.S.P....sounds like he is CHOOSING to do time the hard way! MAYBE NOW HE WILL GROW UP!
