The interviewer keeps going on about risk/reward as if she had no understanding of "Cost Plus" contracts.

Unlike entrepreneurs who risk capital and energy for uncertain returns, "Cost Plus" contracts encourage WASTE and FRAUD. The more you spend, the bigger the profit.

$45 for a six pack of coke. that's not outrageous if they are delivering it to a war zone. FedEx would charge you more to delivery it from Atlanta to Tokyo. According to an article in The New Republic (11-30-98), the cost to send four gallons of water up on the shuttle is about $320,000.

The people who drive the trucks take big risks but the lion share of the money goes to the people who have no risk at all, so it is very disingenuous to ask the question that way
