Keith Olbermann, on his MSNBC program, Countdown, for Sept 19, 2006.



Keith interviewing Robert Greenwald, director of "Iraq For Sale", which documents the war profiteering taking place in Iraq.



Fans of Greenwalds work, of which I am one, will also be aware of his production company, Brave New Films. And how very fitting that company's title is.

By now, I would assume you already know that Vice President Dick Cheney was the Chairman and CEO of Halliburton, following his work in the Nixon administration. And, as capable as I am of doing so, I will not belabor that point.





But the number of former government and military personnel working at Halliburton, and vice versa, goes way beyond that, as Greenwald indicates here.

When I was in the service, the biggest thing getting outsourced to private companies on base was the chow hall. Now there are private companies doing just about everything the military is. Including the fighting:



But that, as they say, is another story...

America is lost. It rotted from within. The Republican party became Fascist over the last decade.The Democrats don't have the backbone to stand up to them even with the majority of the House and Senate.

No Sir, These thugs stole the election with the use of dirty electronic voting machines in FL and Ohio as well as physically kept people away from voting places in FL. There were also reports that hundreds of Democrats showed up at the polling places only to not find their names on the residents lists !!!! It was a coup plain and simple and they all got away with it. THAT'S the greatest sadness in this ... that the Dems just rolled on their bellies and played dead.

War Profiteering on an egregious scale ... that the executives of Halliburton and KBR haven't been brought before a Congressional hearing to answer for charges of reckless negligence to the safety of our military men and women, and for embezzlement of government funds on a preposterous scale, is a travesty of justice that needs to be rectified - just how many *billions* have they stolen so far?

I watched this video last night and it is nothing short of heartbreaking. The most interesting was in the special feature section, which showed clips from the Senate and House debates regarding many Democtratic sponsored anti-profiteering bills. Of course, they were all voted down by the Repub majority. Surprised it's not a huge issue.

If you are talking about Sept 11th itself the RC did send supplies over, but they were sat on and forgotten about. Just like when Britain sent a million soldiers rations over as emergency provisions after Hurricane Katrina and they were sent back because some of the ingredients weren't FDA approved. Bush and Co (Plc) can't be seen to need help INSIDE the US

I know alot of other soldiers like me who quit because as a civilian doing your same job as an E.O.D. Tech. (Explosives Ordnance Disposal) You make about 3-5 times as much if not more if your work for a civilian corporation than in the military. It is a total shame and it really demoralizes you. It did me in my year demining and cleaning up Kuwait.
