RE: Handheld Music - Korg Kaossilator (stereo)
Back"The Yellow Album" is the first full-length album produced and performed entirely on the Korg Kaossilator handheld synthesizer. No other effects, EQ or sounds were added. All 17 tracks were digitally recorded direct from the Kaossilator's line outputs. The only external editing was simple volume balancing. Free download at

Basically you encode first to .flv before uploading to YouTube. This "fools" their auto-decoder into thinking it can just post the file as-is. It was still a pain and took four separate tries uploading before it finally took because it also has to be under a certain size but no one could tell me what that is as it's probably diff for each vid depending on its length. I used a program called Riva FLV encoder. You can Google for more info.

do these things produce sound with nothing plugged into it?
and no headphones just on its own
and no headphones just on its own

it makes all its sounds (the sounds you hear here on the video) independently with no external help. It has no speakers though, so you must wear headphones or plug directly into a stereo or amp with the RCA style plugs on the top of the unit. That's why you see it so wired up here, both to the headphones (that I'm wearing) and also the RCA audio plugs on top going to my video/audio recording device.

I'd like to know, too. I'm interested in buying one of these things for myself.

sounds great through an amp. I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with the style (or song title?) you're referring to to answer your first question. It comes with 99 preset sounds. There are some good videos that step through most of these. Cheers.
