Classic Kiwi "Dunedin sound" music!

I agree the syncipation of the start of this song is R.E.M-esque. It's a great piece of pop and I think the rest of the song was pretty original.

Boy, I remember seeing this video on 120 minutes when I was a teen. Great way to get introduced to alternative music then. Oh, the good ol' days.

You are right! REM sounds 100 times better. But there is some similarity in one of their older songs.

What REM song is this even supposed to sound like? "Man on the Moon" or something? I don't hear it, personally.

whoever said it sounded like an REM song was talking about "Stand"

Submarine Bells is a classic lp, one that must be listened to from start to finish. The Chills might be the most under rated bands ot the 80's.

I could care less whether or not you like this song, or what your taste in music happens to be.

However, I find it ironic that you call this song "80s Fluff" when the aforementioned bands in your favorites section would be more fitting for that category.

ok.
