Growing concern over Afghanistan's madrassas - 24 Jan 08

Back

The Afghan government is trying to reform the country's religious schools and encourage them to teach other subjects as well as religion.

Efforts to build state-funded schools are hampered by shortage of funds and resistance from the schools' teachers.

The government worries that without regulation, madrassas could become a breeding ground for a new generation of Taliban fighters.

Are the teachers in some way related to the Taliban or are they just normal Afghans? If they are related then they could be teaching them kids anything, but at least their getting education were most kids actually aren't able to.

Before anyone makes critical remarks, it must be noted that the religious lunatic groups control the policy of the United States. Can you find this country on the world map? (Hint: it is not in North or South America, nor is it in Africa.)

It's Israel, right?

US gave full endorsement to Dalai Lama's religous activities and at same time supported his military 'terror/freedom' fighters against atheist china. Check 'CIA in tibet' on Utube.
