The utterley marvelous liz fraser. Surely one of the uk's finest female vocalists (well i think). Also love her look in this video, the hair and clothes very 80's. Reminds me of a former girlfriend at that time....sigh.
The years pass quickly....the memories never.

i know she didnt sing this for the TCM 2003 trailer but she sounds kust like the band that did

I know how this song could be improved... Use the 12 string guitar piece from the original Tim Buckley recording, with Liz's singing from this version here. That would be the perfect combination!

I got what you meant uwillbe, and I agree. She could read the back of a Pepto-bismol bottle and I'd get choked up.

I actually love the Cocteau gibberish as well. I like the idea of Liz's voice used as more of an instrument than a descriptor now and then, but that said, sometimes I'd really just like to know what the hell she's talking about.

Tim Buckeys song is amazing...the Cocteau transformed it into something heavenly..i mean.. this version to good

Try a dictionary past elemetary school level. She has a Scottish accent.

I think uwillbe is right that sometimes Fraser just sings gibberish, not on this song, but on many others.

I don't think that's a bad thing though. Many of Sigur Ros's lyrics are gibberish too but they're almost my favorite band; it's just part of the mystique.

My point was, her voice is so beautiful she could sing from a dictionary, or anybook, for that matter, and I would purchase her recordings.
