From International Women's Day is this Saturday, March 8 so we're posting this video to celebrate two of the badass women we admire in Beijing's rock scene. Atom is the drummer for Hedgehog and Li Qing is the drummer for Carsick Cars and guitarist for Snapline (

Come to Yugong Yishan ( this Saturday to celebrate International Women's Day and to see Carsick Cars and the premiere of this video on the big screen.

i can't believe there's so much animosity about this video. this is cool stuff that you don't see in popular media about china. this is (part of) the real face of china's next generation. isn' that ... cool? I feel like a lot of these comments suffer from tunnel vision, dickwads just saying "man, that music sucks,"; I'm sure those people don't even play or compose music...
