i understand why you like the soviet army. you had a member of your family in it. trust me i know. my father went to vietnam as infantry, and my brother went to iraq, and afghanistan as a ranger. of course i like the U.S army. And you have all the right to talk shit about America as i do about soviet union. but i will criticize.

Stalin was a bastard, no questions there, but there was always a lot more to Soviet Union than Stalin or the party there were courageous, brave people that saved their country and the whole of Europe from Nazism by destroying the Reich. While you fought hundreds of thousands of Germans, we fought millions and we beat them and thats why its our victory more so than it is yours.

We fought millions of germans to. you are wrong there. We were in Europe, north africa, and italy. I know my history. The soviets were help, but we went in to russia to pull them out. We also opened a new front in normandy. Russia just went in to germany. SO we didn't just tag along

Eh, okay, not to judge but you don't know your history. US troops have never went into Russia or anywhere near the Eastern Front during WW2. In Africa and Italy you fought against only several hundred thousand Germans, things changed a bit in 1944 than you invaded Normandy but the thing is that by than Soviet Union has already determined the outcome of this war, it was only a matter of time, German army was retreating in the East, they got beaten at Stalingrad and Kursk.

D-Day didn't change a thing. We killed 4 to 7 million Germans, compared to your 1.3 million. I can recommend you a couple of books by American authors if you'd like, history is something you need to know.

We fought the Germans for 4 years, on a 1000 kilometer wide front, there was a lot more to our victory than just going into Germany. We destroyed the armies of German puppets in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, etc. we killed altogether about 200 thousand Italians, they had to withdraw from the Eastern front after the battle of Stalingrad.

Well we liberated France, along with the English. The casualties of stalingrad, and the rest of the eastern front was heavy on both the nazis, and soviet. 7 million germans, and i have heard that it was like 10-15 million russians. your grandfather was probably a good soldier. He got lucky. and what are some of those books?

8.2 million Soviet soldiers died officially. The official German number is currently a little over 5 million (4 died on the Eastern Front, 1 on the Western) but they're still counting their dead bodies, according to some data the number could be as big as 7 million just for the Eastern Front, 4 million graves of German soldiers were found just on the territory of modern day Russia not including the rest of Eastern and central Europe.

Sorry LOL. u misunderstood me. i meant to say that we gave you supplies. "Lend and lease." and about north africa, what do you think would have happened if we wouldn't have gone in. The soviet army was stretched thin with the sudden attack. The soviets helped us alot in Berlin. But i don't think they would have had the army to go in to Europe, and africa.
