I heard schizophrenia has a nice side to, the pure euphoria sometimes.
But just read that once from someones experience; most of the time it wasn't too good. Just like you said.

it's so bizar.. last night I dreamd about cats, and that we act as if we were cats.
Now I was just watched a movie on youtube, clicked through to 'schizofrenic artist -bleh'-something alike.

And here they are again.. scary, it's the first time I dreamd about cats.

I have a a history of Schizophrenia.
The reason the paintings change so much, is because the visualizations that a Schizophrenic has get a lot more deeper and fantasist like. Although every Schizophrenic has completely different symptoms.

My friends mother has the illness and strangely enough she draws very similar...almost identical to the last one in the video. I loved the video. Thankyou to whoever uploaded it.
