I hate a MILLION gay jokes, and for me it's NOTHING to do with political correctness, so I see what some of you mean. But - I think that most of MST's gay jokes ARE pretty clever.
Didn't they miss out on one joke about the credits? Wasn't Robert Hedges the name of one of the "Kotter" actors?

I would say the directness of Pearl's line was out of place. MST3K has made more subtle jokes of that nature like that infamous Crow-Servo "refueling" skit in The Starfighters.

Correction: Saw in a later scene that it is in fact a Sunbeam Tiger. They look alike.
