Am I the only one who is reminded of "Brad Goodman" the "easy answer" peddling, new age guru from the simpsons? I can just envision his drawing a circle on a black board beside Troy Mclure. "Troy, this circle, is you."
"It's as if you've known me all my life!"

The man lost his identity ? Well, check your wallet, there's a name.... even a picture so you can be sure.... O_o... i mean, it's enough for you passport... I never heard of a check where you had to meditate to find out "who you are" ... "Om....Om....Om......I'M MINOTAURSPAWN!" nah, it didn't take "years" to find that out...1 sec or even less, because I somewhat of know ...

Some parents can push their offspring into mainting an act: on the outside the perfect daughter, the dutiful son etc. Only years later they find out what their insides want: to scream, leave that desk job and go form a rock band or something. Some people were so suppressed they can't scream. Roy uses a metaphor for such people: 'plastic'.

Come on Minotaur. It's not rocket science:-)

I really like Randi, he's so honest. He can make his points and challenge people without being belligerent.

Plastic people who want a plastic preacher??!! Geez, I've never seen ANYTHING more plastic than one of Roy's so-called wooden cross exorcisms. Roy can see the falseness in other people's malarkey, why can't he see the fallacy of this disgraceful exhibit of mental manipulation calling itself exorcism??

Because the man on the right's just being nice. He doesn't claim to speak to the dead. He has a good streak and Randi recognises that. And they both agree that some diseases can be due to stress.
The fact that their vocabulary differs is neither here nor there.

I love this:

"I'm not a healer."

"It's on your list of claims."

"Umm... Uh.... MAN IS NOT AN ANIMAL!"

hahaha

He was asked if he's a 'faith healer' or 'Healer' for short. He said he was not. The compare found the word 'healing', which is a process and which Roy can admit to trying to accomplish. It turns out that if Roy 'heals', he believes it's usually down to psycho-somatic problems (although he uses different words) and that any 'cures' are unlikely to be instantaneous.
They're both good men. Randi can see it. I'm surprised you can't. Try and see what Randi sees.

He says he is not but go ahead and do a quick search on here, he performs mass exorcisms, for pay, with the purpose of curing diseases. As is said in this video, his smattering of claims include faith healing. They do.

As for "being a good person" I do not believe I nor Randi make a claim about his intentions. Though I do believe him to be a fraud I leave it at what I know to be true, which is that his claims are false.

James Randi never endorses the man. Just so you know.

Tom Bergeron??? I never knew he had a show long before Hollywood Squares. What year was this episode?

BTW, James Randi is COOL!
