Can someone tell me why the hit is so phenomenal? Is it because of the steep angle the way it's executed? I heard the farther the ball is spiked the better it is.

good point but look at where rosenthal was when he was hitting...Rosie had a small window and tough angle to go down the line...the blocker didnt take ALL the line but at least the part of it that Rosie could reasonably hit, the blocker just has to tip his cap to him on that one
