Hey i think they question has been answered before, but here it goes, i have a iphone 4gb 1st gen and only the glass screen part is cracked, i can just replace that glass part, the lcd is fine only the glass part. thanks for your time.

Yes we have answered this a couple of time below in the comments. Basicly you can not replace just the glass you have to replace the complete screen. You can goto PDAparts(dot)com and look up part number IP-2085 and read the information in the description regarding this.

We have answered this before below. Long story short you have to replace the complete screen. You can NOT replace just the digitizer/glass top or the lcd by them selves.

ok thanx thats a bit rubbish then as i just payed for a new Digitizer on its own now need to but the wole thing bugger GRRR!

i have a question.. i have a iphone 3g that i droped and cracked the glass on just the bottom corner a tinny bit on the screeen but still works great but just doesnt look good LOL. but i seen replacement glass on ebay for like 25 bucks but can i take of the digitizer and everything of the back off the original glass?? plz help me

oops you said 3G.. Check the responses on our 3G video regarding the glass tops on ebay. Basic answer is no they will not work as they are missing certain parts to make them work.

Follow the video to remove the screen and install a new one at the end then follow the steps in reverse.
