Giuliano Amato, the former Prime Minister of Italy, has said that the revived EU constitution has deliberately been made unreadable to help fend off demands for a referendum: EU leaders had decided that the document to be drawn up by an intergovernmental conference should be unreadable.

EU and URSS is a silly comparison!!! I'm italian, I have my own culture and Eu doesn't suppress my nationality..I'm European! I love Europe and I want that all other people of Europe understand that we have all hisotory culture beauty and intlligence... we have build up the world, we have to be united... we don't have to be slave of USA or afraid of Russia. We have to find our own way to make politic. I din't accept that a russian could teach me how to do... tell about Russia

within the lisbon treaty the eu has made provision for the death penalty to be made available as a legal sentence that can be awared in a european court

Very exaggerated point of view. The comparison between the USSR and EU is very tenuous. The EU is not a Police State and the member countries retain complete autonomy. No common army, secret police or single ideology. The EU's purpose is economical, no more. This is paranoia at its worst.

read this about the powers the eu has "given" itself....

"Police could routinely hack into personal computers without the need for a warrant under new plans from the European Union.

The technique, known as "remote searching" involves bugging computers in homes and offices in order to monitor website use and email traffic.

P.S. European Court of Justice judges are selected by the powerful Council of Europe.
They recieve a salary of 17,000 Euros a month of European taxpayers money, plus benefits ( source : Prof. Schachtschneider ).

Vote in the June EU parliament elections for a party willing to combat EU corruption.
