2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R - Sportbike Motorcycle Review

Back

Zipping past an unexpected Border Patrol checkpoint near Tecate, California, we lean into a banked turn pinned in fourth-gear with the tach hovering near redline on Kawasaki's best-selling sportbike. But it's not what you think. No border agents or any other government officials are scrambling to run us down with flashing lights blazing because, lucky for us, Kawasaki's best-selling sportbike is the Ninja 250R.

put a leo vince exhaust on your ninja they sound like heaven!!! ma mates got one you can hear him way before you can see him.especially good for underground carparks scaring chicks when you twist the throttle the sound is sooo meaty and loud plus you get about 4-5 hp increase

i got a buell blast...small bike like the 250r but still fun to ride and great low end power!

A 250 feels fast for a beginner if you've never owned anything with any power(including cars). My first few rides on my 250 had me humbled. After a little over a year I got a VFR800, which is plenty of bike for a long time.

I'm an experienced sport rider and I can still have a blast on these little bikes...why? Unlike a full-bore 600 or 1,000cc machine, you can actually push a 250 on the road. I can ride one of these at 9/10ths on the road and have a blast doing it. I love my sportbike, but these machines aren't to be written off.

i think u should start off with a 600 or 750 a 250 thats like a dirtbike

SHAWEAGLEBOI your insane if you think people should learn to ride on a 600 or 750, there is already enough motorcycle death videos on you tube for you to try to encourage someone else to die for your amusement.
You need to just stay playing with your remote control cars and quit leaving stupid comments in the bike videos.

Im 6 foot 5. yes it will be a good bike to learn on. dont buy new though. your a big guy so I wouldnt say you would drop it, but I have seen it happend though. So yes a 250 would be good to learn on. dont listen to the hype of others saying no get a 600cc. crazy. Im 6 ft 5 and 23 years old. If I started on a 600cc sportbike, I think I would be dead. I rode a cruiser for about 1500 miles or so,firstbike, irode my friends r6 and holy shit fast!!!to fast for a beginner-250 all the way!!!!
