I don't think its at all fair writers that writers get the shaft, while the big companies rake in the cash on something they didn't even create. That's America for you.

Plus I want the cash I'm paying for Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies DVD's to go to Bryan Fuller, because he deserves every penny.

for those who disagree if it werent for writer's and the passion that they have for writting, there wont be anything good for you to see on tv or read about,why shouldnt writers get paid good money for what they write? this year alone i've seen a whole bunch of crappy movies, , and they've never complain about the libary, is unfair that somebody else benefits from their work stupid!!!! that's all.

Can you imagine how much an author is denied every single time I read their books again and lend them to all my family, friends, coworkers, neighbours...?
Have you ever thought of how much an author is deprived of because of public libraries lending the books to whoever cares to have them for a week or two and never paying the poor scribblers a single dime?
What has the world come to? Is Gezus asleep?

I agree, DirkXXXVI. It seems as though whenever a poor bunch of writers wants cash for their "chicken feed" scripts, they'll complain and ask cash for their handy work.

They should work harder and put quailty into what they make, lest their "writers strike" will kill them fast due to failed films and tv shows.
