20l/100km or 5km/l...? I'd say that's decent enough for a 2,5 tonne vehicle travelling at 200 kmh/120mph on wide tires and in the raised suspension state (it seems). ?

Normal road cars are able to get much better consumption yes, but they also weigh a tonne less.

20 L/100 km is horrific. The Lupo was doing 3 L/100 km years ago... I do 3.5 in my cdi

Yes, I know what the Lupo does. I also know that VW managed to build a prototype of the "1 liter car", a car that went 112,something km on one litre of diesel only.

However, you can't compare those cars to a Touareg. Nor can you compare your Mercedes to it. And your Mercedes doesn't do 3,5l/100km when you're driving at 200 kmh.

The Touareg is huge, it has huge wheels, etc. It has to move ALOT of air. A normal car is much more aerodynamic.

20l/100km IS nice for such a big car @ 200 kmh!

u have to understand there`s a v6 also ....and some people have many t to spend on gas ...i`m sorry they haven`t built one specialy for u with 4 cylinder couse i guess that`s what u whant in your suv ....what`s the point in buying an suv without power??dumbass
