Alright heres the deal, those o yall hatin on tricking cause its useless in a fight are jealous fools. Admit it, you very well know you wish you had the capability, but since you have no capactiy for endurance and flexibility, yall think its cute to critisize it instead! Yall know its true. So stop with the crap about tricking being useless.

...I wish I could change my rating from 2s to 1s. I didn't realize how unpolished his moves would be, and his terminology isn't correct. His hooks are crescents. His pop 360 "one legged" was a cheat 720. He's unbalanced in his technique, like during his jump snap kick (front kick)...and what tricker uses that? Also...what tricker will ever use a headstand?

We need to promote better vids of tricking than this. ) : *is venting*

anything can be used in a fight the question is do you wan t to use it in a fight? and capoeira is mostly used to evade not block but the fighting style is incredible ans is just as effective as any other type of martial it just depends on the person who is doing it=D

ok yes these kicks probably cant be used in fights but thats not what trickings about dude. tricking is break dance gymnastics and martial arts combined. so give it a rest tricking has nothing to do with fighting it is just to be sweet do sweet flips and tricks and most importantly have fun!

yes, i agree completely with both of you. One reason the capoeristas are "flashy" is that they had their hands bound by chain. They needed to use their feet. It is more realistic to dodge attacks rather than block. Capoeira is based on evasion. There are two types of capoeira. Capoeira Regional: new fast paced and showy. Capoeira Angola: the traditional, meant for fighitng

it is more EFFECTIVE to dodge attacks, but the problem is that no one actually has the reflexes to do that continualy. if it was that easy, MMA fighters would be constantly dodging attacks. If you've seen videos of capoeristas vs. MMA fighters you'll see that though the theory is very good, in practice it just doesn't work unless you're somehow superhuman

no, i know, you're completely right. A person can't dodge all the attacks. MMA fighters are the real fighters. Fights always come down to the basics, never the flashy stuff. Kick and punch, thats all. Ehh, godly evasion and attack: Only Chuck Norris could probably pull it off.

I disagree, I think it is much more effective to block as blocking usually opens up your opponents torso. However, if anyone has seen a REAL fight (other than one where the fighters grab/grapple each other) you will notice people dodge MUCH more easily than they block.
