I always wanted to visit Coney Island (not for the rides so much) but the atmosphere. It was like the last of Old New York.

I would really love to see Thor Equtities do the place up like the old Luna and Steeplechase Parks with similar types of rides (some of them looked like they were a helluva lot of fun)but you know, updated versions. It would be sweet....if only I had my way.....

loved that one. Even remember the last shot of the ad with the kid with the shades looking up at the Wonder Wheel or something. When I was little, I didn't even realize Astro Land from the ad was the same Coney Island I went to every other weekend.

there was another one too that went something like "Remember Coney Island and how it used to be ?
Now it's everything you can want and more, Come On"

Save Coney. I dont think a single thing should change.. These developers are trash they have ruined Manhattan, and they are working on killing all the urban areas in New York

Coney's full of history & should be preserved.

It started as a relaxing seaside with rooming houses for working families from Manhattan. Nothing fancy, just rooming houses & beach.

Businessmen bought up circus attractions in Europe, shipped to NYC, & rebuilt them at Coney. ex.s- Lunar Village, Astroland, Steeplechase Park.

The first time people relaxed & recovered from hectic madness of a city with something crazier than the city.

Last place in NYC cops are still afraid to go at nite.
